Discover Butterflies
Insect
Butterflies flit through the Wild Forest as small wonders to notice and follow.
Meet the real animal
Butterflies are insects with four wings covered in tiny scales. They begin life as an egg, hatch into a caterpillar, then change completely inside a chrysalis before coming out with wings. Butterflies sip nectar from flowers through a long tongue that curls up like a party blower.
Look closer
Look at the butterfly's wings. Are both sides the same? Trace the pattern in the air with your finger.
