We do not claim registered trademark status, and we do not use the ® symbol.

What is protected

The twelve story manuscripts, all original illustrations and scanned artwork, character designs and names, the logo and wordmark, site copy, the discovery material and the way it is presented, page layouts, and other original creative assets are protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.

What you may do

• Read and enjoy the stories your household or school has access to.
• Read aloud at home, or in your classroom within the scope of a school licence.
• Link to any public page on this website.
• Anything that mandatory law expressly permits — for example, statutory exceptions in your country that cannot be overridden by these terms.

What you may not do without our prior written permission

• Copy, download, mirror, republish or redistribute stories, artwork or site content.
• Share screenshots or recordings of protected content for redistribution.
• Scrape, crawl for bulk extraction, or build a dataset or archive from this website.
• Resell, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit any of the content.
• Perform, broadcast or distribute the stories publicly outside the scope of a licence you hold.
• Use any of the content to train, fine-tune, evaluate or benchmark artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems.
• Create merchandise, adaptations or derivative works from the characters or artwork.

Purchases are licences, not ownership

Buying a single story, joining a family membership or holding a school licence gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and read the content while that purchase or subscription is valid. No copyright, trademark or other ownership right is transferred to you at any point.

Technical measures

We apply light technical deterrents to protected artwork and story pages, such as disabling the right-click menu and image dragging on creative assets. These are deterrents, not security measures, and they do not remove your legal obligations above.
