Deer are hoofed animals that live in woods, fields and mountains in many parts of the world. They have big ears and gentle eyes, and they are very good at noticing sounds. In many kinds of deer the males grow antlers, drop them each year and grow new ones.

Look closer

Look at the deer's ears in the photo. Which way are they pointing? What do you think it is listening to?
