Squirrels are small, quick animals that belong to the rodent family. Tree squirrels live in woods and parks, running along branches with sharp little claws. In autumn many of them collect nuts and hide them away, then go looking for them again when food is harder to find.

Look closer

Look at the squirrel's claws and tail. How is it holding on? What might the tail be doing?
